Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level 3 Emergency Department position in Minnesota, requiring ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.
Responsibilities
Work in a 12-bed Emergency Department within an acute care settingLevel 3 Trauma Center with Acute Stroke Ready certificationTypical ED patient population and diagnosesNurse to patient ratio is typically 1 : 4, rarely 1 : 5Requires tele skills and basic cardiology knowledge for reading stripsDrip medications and ventilator management occasionally needed, with RT supportPharmacy and Respiratory Therapy support available 24 / 7Uses Paragon and Touchworks EMR systemsDay and night rotating 12-hour shifts with every 3rd weekend requiredNo floating to other units requiredFloor-specific orientation providedMust be able to work both day and night shifts on a rotating scheduleEvery 3rd weekend coverage requiredPotential holiday coverage as scheduledRN will be supported by nurse aides and will not serve in a charge nurse roleScrub color is not specifiedAcute clinical orientation provided on unit startRequirements
Active MN RN license requiredMinimum of 1 year recent Emergency Department RN experienceCertifications required : BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCCBasic cardiology and tele skills necessaryExperience with drip medication administration and ventilator management preferredAbility to use Paragon and Touchworks EMR systems is preferredBenefits
