Job descriptionPosition OverviewThe Senior Project Engineer is a key technical and leadership role responsible for managing complex MEP design projects from concept through completion. This position requires deep expertise in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering systems. As a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), you will oversee project execution, coordinate with clients and consultants, mentor junior engineers, ensure quality control, and drive efficiency in design and production processes. This role offers significant upward mobility with clear opportunities for advancement into senior leadership.Project Management & Technical LeadershipLead and manage the full lifecycle of MEP engineering projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements, code compliance, timelines, and performance goals.Serve as the primary technical point of contact for internal teams, clients, architects, developers, and consultants.Prepare, review, and approve engineering designs, calculations, and construction documents.Conduct and schedule internal quality reviews to maintain a high standard of deliverables.Provide construction phase services including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and conducting site visits when necessary.Client & Stakeholder CoordinationDevelop and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and technical expertise.Interpret client needs, provide strategic solutions, and anticipate project risks.Support business development initiatives and contribute to proposal development when needed.Required QualificationsLicensed Professional Engineer (PE) - Required5+ years of MEP engineering experienceBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural Engineering, or a related fieldDemonstrated experience in leading engineering teams or managing projectsProficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience preferredStrong knowledge of building codes, construction documents, and engineering best practicesExcellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersStrong ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentPreferred SkillsExperience with energy compliance and sustainable design practicesProven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop engineering staffAbility to lead client meetings and present technical concepts clearlyFamiliarity with document management, tracking, and quality control systems Job Type : Full-time Pay : From $120,000.00 per year Benefits :Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistanceRetirement planVision insurance Application Question(s) :Are you a Licensed Professional Engineer?
