Pay Range: $15hr - $20hr
- The Claims / Consumer Associate is responsible for processing first-party property claims in accordance with client-specific program guidelines.
- This role includes evaluating coverage, making determinations, adjudicating settlements or denials within designated authority limits, and managing high volumes of claims while meeting quality and production standards.
- High school diploma or GED.
- One (1) year of general office experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Willingness and ability to obtain required licensing as applicable.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- PC proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to meet or exceed performance competencies.
- Experience processing or supporting first-party property or casualty claims preferred.
- Experience handling high-volume workloads including phone calls and written correspondence.
- Experience documenting claim files accurately and thoroughly.
- Claims industry experience preferred.
- Process first-party property claims based on basic coverage guidelines.
- Conduct investigations and evaluations to determine coverage.
- Adjudicate settlements or denials within designated authority levels.
- Handle high volumes of claims, calls, and correspondence.
- Ensure claim files are properly documented and compliant with customer guidelines.
- Meet established quality, production, and deadline expectations.
- Support organizational quality programs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of first-party property and casualty claim adjudication.
- Strong analytical and interpretive skills.
- Good interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Appropriate licensing as required or willingness to obtain it.
