Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) About the Role

We’re seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our outpatient neuro rehabilitation team in Rockland, Maine. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping individuals restore independence and improve quality of life through therapeutic activities and functional skill development.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized therapy plans focused on functional, vocational, and educational goals.
• Support patients with neurological conditions through exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques to promote independence.
• Conduct community reintegration activities to support patient progress outside the clinic setting.
• Collaborate in group sessions and co-treatment environments to deliver comprehensive care.
• Document progress and communicate updates to the treatment team, clinical coordinator, and physicians.
• Fabricate or adapt assistive devices to meet patient needs.
