The Senior Project Manager within Enterprise Digital & AI Enablement Delivery is a seasoned expert responsible for overseeing the day to day project activities of complex projects of a tactical nature, ensuring project control procedures and policies are adhered as per CIBC's project performance standards. The role works with minimal direction, applying deep knowledge in their field of expertise to manage the delivery of project management best practices and processes including reporting, project planning, and support activities. In this role you will use significant latitude in determining objectives and leads employees in the development of analytical approaches, while establishing and maintaining client, senior management and project manager relationships. In addition, the role provides status updates and progress reports to project stakeholders to manage expectations related to scope and timeline constraints.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How You'll Succeed

• Project Lifecycle - Initiate, plan, execute, control and close project(s) of a tactical nature, with an emphasis on managing AI projects. Incorporating project management standards, processes, and procedures in support of continuous improvement activities.
• Stakeholder Management - Act as business liaison partner with business sponsor and stakeholders to develop the business case and provide input on tactical direction. Participate in vendor evaluation and selection process by providing recommendations based on subject matter expertise.
• Communication and Persuasion Share ideas, build consensus, and write with impact. Chair meetings and develop trusted working relationships with business stakeholders and technology partners.
• Compliance - Must ensure projects for which they are responsible meet the requirements of CIBC's standards, policies, and procedures.
• Risk Management - Must ensure that all necessary risk assessments and risk assessment processes are carried out at the appropriate time (Architecture, Governance, Security Threat Risk Assessment, Operational Gating). Act as conduit between internal business partners and external partners / vendors who provide critical solutions and services to ensure project milestones and objectives are met.
