Refrigeration Mechanic III - 3rd Shift

Pay Range : $34-$37.50 per hour Additional $1.50 shift differential from 6pm-6am

Conduct daily inspections and perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration systems including air conditioners, compressors, evaporators, boilers, and REM evaporative coils to ensure optimal functionality and safety compliance.

~ Troubleshoot and repair complex refrigeration equipment issues such as ammonia compressors, CO2 and freezer temperature monitors, and electrical components including I / O modules, ensuring minimal downtime.

~ Manage refrigeration parts inventory, order necessary components, and maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.

~ Lead setup, teardown, fabrication, and installation of plant equipment, supporting major repairs and construction projects related to stationary machinery and building infrastructure.

~ Adhere to strict safety protocols including Lockout / Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space, Respiratory Protection, and Fall Protection, and actively participate in Hazmat training and emergency response teams.

High school diploma or GED required ; 3+ years of related refrigeration maintenance experience with advanced electrical and mechanical skills , strongly preferred in an ammonia refrigeration environment.

~ Must be able to obtain forklift and boiler licenses as required for job functions.
