Job Posting : Pharmacy Technician – Portland, ME (Contract-to-Hire)

Pay Rate : $24.45 per hour

Location : Portland, Maine

Schedule : Full-time, 5 days / week with rotating weekends

Shift : 9 : 00 AM – 5 : 30 PM

Certification Required : Active Maine Pharmacy Technician License

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Portland, ME. In this role, you will support daily pharmacy operations under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist , ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient medication processing for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Medication Processing & Dispensing

• Fill prescriptions accurately under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
• Assist in prepackaging medications for dispensing in compliance with state, federal, and facility standards.
• Support the Pharmacist with final checking procedures, including stating medication for final review and packaging after approval.
• Coordinate accurate and timely delivery of medications to customers.

Inventory & Quality Control

Qualifications

Active Maine Pharmacy Technician License (Required)

Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures

Ability to work rotating weekends and full shift schedule
