Fabrication Technician Location : Wilmington, MA Schedule : 7 : 55 AM – 5 : 00 PM (must be on the floor at 8 : 00 AM for the daily standing meeting) Pay Rate : $26–$31 / hour Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Technician to join a growing manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely fabrication, assembly, and testing of custom fluid system assemblies and components in accordance with specifications and customer requirements. This position ensures product quality, maintains production efficiency, and supports continuous improvement initiatives in a team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Fabricate and assemble custom fluid system components, including tube bending, welding, cutting, and threading, using appropriate tools and equipment Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and written instructions to ensure accurate builds Perform quality inspections and pressure testing to ensure assemblies meet specifications Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following 5S and safety standards Collaborate with engineering and customer service teams to resolve technical questions and clarify requirements Accurately record fabrication data, including job travelers, inspection reports, and quality documentation Perform preventive maintenance and report equipment malfunctions as needed Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying process enhancements and participating in lean initiatives Follow company policies, quality standards, and work instructions Qualifications Education : High school diploma or GED required Technical or vocational training in welding, machining, or industrial manufacturing preferred Experience : 1–3 years of experience in fabrication, assembly, or manufacturing preferred Experience with fluid system components or assemblies is a plus Skills & Competencies : Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and job specifications Proficiency with fabrication tools and equipment (e.g., tube benders, saws, welders, pressure test equipment) Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work Basic math and measurement skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and problem-solving skills Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity Basic computer skills (data entry, work order tracking systems) FootBridge is an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive environment where everyone is valued and respected.
