These principles guide our daily practices and interactions.\n\nAs a Registered Nurse, you will oversee nursing care and related activities, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.\n\nResponsibilities\n

• Adhere to established nursing standards and implement facility policies.\n
• Communicate effectively with licensed staff, residents, and families regarding policies and procedures.\n
• Conduct resident rounds, manage care delivery, and report any changes in residents' conditions promptly.\n
• Supervise and assess resident care provided by nursing assistants and LPNs, ensuring high standards are met.\n
• Perform and document comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans based on those assessments.\n
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, coordinating with physicians and other departments during admissions, transfers, and discharges.\n
• Monitor and document nursing actions and patient conditions, ensuring all care activities are recorded accurately.\n
• Participate in the employee evaluation process by providing input on nursing staff performance.\n
• Maintain emergency equipment, check medication deliveries, and adhere to safety and infection control policies.\n
• Cultivate a positive team environment by supporting and welcoming new staff and residents.\n
• Accompany patients to appointments and assist during certain medical procedures as necessary.\n\nQualifications\n
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or a related field preferred.\n
• At least one year of experience in rehabilitative, psychiatric, or geriatric nursing preferred.\n
• A valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut is required.\n
