- Adhere to established nursing standards and implement facility policies.\n
- Communicate effectively with licensed staff, residents, and families regarding policies and procedures.\n
- Conduct resident rounds, manage care delivery, and report any changes in residents' conditions promptly.\n
- Supervise and assess resident care provided by nursing assistants and LPNs, ensuring high standards are met.\n
- Perform and document comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans based on those assessments.\n
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, coordinating with physicians and other departments during admissions, transfers, and discharges.\n
- Monitor and document nursing actions and patient conditions, ensuring all care activities are recorded accurately.\n
- Participate in the employee evaluation process by providing input on nursing staff performance.\n
- Maintain emergency equipment, check medication deliveries, and adhere to safety and infection control policies.\n
- Cultivate a positive team environment by supporting and welcoming new staff and residents.\n
- Accompany patients to appointments and assist during certain medical procedures as necessary.\n\nQualifications\n
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or a related field preferred.\n
- At least one year of experience in rehabilitative, psychiatric, or geriatric nursing preferred.\n
- A valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut is required.\n
