Associate In Acquisition Loss Forecasting Team

As an Associate in the Acquisition Loss Forecasting Team, you will be part of a team that supports the firm's Risk Strategy, Channel Marketing, and CFO teams in running a world-class organization. You will be responsible for the development of acquisition loss forecasts, applying historical trends and forward looking economic data to drive firm investment and strategy decisions. This includes data analysis, strategy development, financial evaluation, and supporting strategy implementation.
Job Responsibilities :
- Analyze historical product performance by strategy segmentations, use the analysis to forecast future performance, and deep dive into underlying trends driving performance variation
- Analyze economic model output and apply results to quarterly forecasts, determining the result of base, stress, and upside macro environments and how these scenarios will impact losses and investment profitability
- Analyze risk inputs and conduct research and analysis of the performance and profitability of existing strategies while working to ensure adherence to regulatory based initiatives, procedural alignment with Risk Policy and a strong control environment.
- Provide consistent framework to assess loss and profitability dynamics associated with credit decisions in normal as well as stressed economic scenarios.
- Provide analytical support to the strategy teams in developing robust methodology, algorithm, and financially sound evaluation framework for credit risk strategies.
- Utilize knowledge of risk modeling, profitability modeling, and relevant statistical knowledge to develop risk analysis framework that is consistent with the firm's risk appetite framework.
- Partner closely with other strategy areas of Risk, Marketing, and Finance to coordinate integration of risk appetite framework into credit strategies.
- Develop and maintain periodic analytics to provide management with full insight into emerging trends and the quality of the originated accounts
- Attain a detailed understanding of key performance metrics and profitability drivers, enabling the delivery of insights encompassing the full account lifecycle
- Conduct ad hoc analytics and contribute to various projects representing Risk Management
- Build deep relationships with business partners across the firm and will be expected to interact with key clients and cobrand partner leadership teams
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills :
BS degree and minimum 5 years Risk Management or other quantitative experience requiredBackground in statistics, econometric, or other quantitative field requiredStrong SQL, SAS, and Python coding skills, Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Alteryx and Tableau skillsAbility to query large amounts of data and transform the raw data into actionable management informationStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesStrong written and oral communication skillsExperience delivering recommendations to managementPreferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills :
MS degree and 3 years Risk Management or other quantitative experienceFamiliarity with risk analytic techniques preferably in strategy development and loss forecastingFamiliarity with current analytical techniques, e.g. regression, decision trees, and segmentation techniquesAdvanced understanding of SAS, SAS Enterprise Miner, or other decision tree softwareTo be eligible for this role, you must be authorized to work in the United States.
