This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.

In this role, you will perform thermal analysis of hardware that is used across multiple spacecraft as part of the Lunar program. Typical tasks include capturing inputs, performing trade studies, performing temperature and heat transfer predictions, coordinating with the rest of the design team, and documenting results. You will work with designers, analysts and systems engineers to ensure adequate temperature control of in-house and vendor-procured devices and assemblies.

Contribute to a team of Engineers and Analysts simultaneously developing groundbreaking lunar landers. Responsibilities include but not limited to :

• Understand thermal requirements and look for opportunities to push back on requirements to improve the overall design
• Participate in trade studies looking at different design alternatives to meet requirements
• Perform thermal analysis ranging from hand calculations to detailed models
• Communicate results and mentor other team members
• Work as an active member of a multi-disciplinary design team to balance thermal performance against mass, manufacturability, cost, schedule, and other constraints

WA applicants is $164,682.00-$230,554.80

Required for certain Job Profiles : Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
