• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 5 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
• Experience in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), with a focus on Revenue (ASC 606) Accounting in a public accounting or multinational company setting.

You'll advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations, and review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports. The Ads Controllership team are trusted advisors to the business, driving reliable financial reporting and processes. We fuel Google's growth by unlocking efficiencies and empowering the business to achieve audacious goals. We support Ads business by overseeing end-to-end order-to-cash process, including contracting, billing, revenue reporting and payment disbursement. We leverage our deep product knowledge and GAAP understanding to ensure revenue recognition adherence to 606 guidance. We design and implement robust process controls for SOX compliance and collaborate with auditors to fulfill all audit requirements. In this role, you'll collaborate extensively across Controllership teams to manage financial statement risks and ensure timely and accurate accounting and reporting requirements are met. You will partner with cross-functional teams to brainstorm and co-design financial pipelines to support complex financial operational needs for new product and business initiatives.
