We are seeking current Passaic County Community College students to be Success Mentors who will guide and serve as a resource to prospective and current Passaic County Community College (PCCC) students. The Success Mentor’s primary focus is to support the overall success of students by providing help with goal setting, study skills, time management, professional development, and personal development. Candidates must demonstrate willingness, patience, and a passion for supporting students in their access to and completion of their college journeys. The Success Mentor position requires a commitment of 10-15 hours per week throughout the academic year (August through May) and during the summer as needed.

This is a part-time, hourly position.

Example of Duties :

• Schedule and attend 1-1 in-person and virtual sessions with assigned mentees.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with students to provide academic support.
• Connect mentees with campus academic resources and help grow their awareness of opportunities, policies, and support services.
• Develop and facilitate workshops and events.
• Document mentor / mentee correspondence.
• Correspond with PCCC program staff regarding mentee concerns and / or progress.
• Provide support for PCCC programming and recruitment events as necessary.
• Represent PCCC in a positive, appropriate and professional manner.
• Participate in orientation, training, professional development workshops, and other

meetings as required.

Compensation : Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The minimum hourly pay for this position is $15.49.
