Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele position in Washington, DC, requiring an active DC RN license and recent hospital experience.

Responsibilities Work in the Medical / Surgical Telemetry unit of a hospital

Three 12-hour day shifts per week required

Patient care involves a varied adult population requiring telemetry monitoring

Assignment is 13 weeks in duration

Must live at least 25 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler

Responsibilities include performing assessments, delivering competent patient care, and documenting according to hospital policy

Role involves providing care across the lifespan and interpreting patient needs

Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations may be required prior to start

Requirements Active DC RN license is required at the time of consideration

Minimum of two years of Med / Surg Tele experience in a US hospital required

Certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) are required

Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification is mandated

Two manager or supervisor references preferred, with at least one from the most recent employer

Candidate must possess a valid US Social Security Number
