The employee will work Monday through Friday from 07 : 00 to 15 : 30. The start time could be flexible up to 08 : 00. The employee will be required to work one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) during a 4-week period, resulting in a day off during that week. The clinician may float within the scope to meet facility needs. Responsibilities include assessments, documentation, patient and family education, and safety and injury prevention. The role primarily involves inpatient patient care. The facility is a short-term acute care hospital with a total of 1259 staffed beds. Documentation will be completed in accordance with departmental policies. The clinician will establish treatment plans and provide care while considering discharge needs and expected functional status. Collaboration and communication with patients, families, and other healthcare providers are essential. Recommendations for referrals to specialists may be made as needed. Delegation of tasks to assistants and techs is part of the responsibilities. The clinician is expected to have skills in safe patient handling, assistive devices, and patient education. Experience with vital sign monitoring, strength testing, and safety protocols is required. This position may involve working with diverse patient diagnoses and therapeutic needs.
