East Alabama Health is expanding behavioral health services and seeking full-time Adult Psychiatrists to join our growing team. With a new 40-bed acute unit , a planned 20 bed Geriatric Psychiatry unit , and a brand-new $40 million Center for Mental Health opening in Fall 2025, this is a rare opportunity to be part of a health system that is investing heavily in mental health care.

Position Highlights

• Inpatient focus with potential outpatient opportunities
• EMR : Cerner (inpatient and outpatient)
• Collaborative team : 8 psychiatrists (with 2 more joining by 2026), Clinical Psychologists, Mental Health Nurse Practitioners, Social Workers and Therapists.
• APP oversight required (with support structure in place)
• Access to a broad network of specialists
• Committee & Research opportunities with Auburn University
• EAHs New ACGME-Accredited Psychiatry Residency Programstarted summer of 2025.
