Vehicle and Facility Attendant

Job Title

This position is responsible for maintaining the brand and image of the DCT facility and its equipment, as well as ensuring overall bus cleanliness.

The hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 4 : 00 PM8 : 00 PM, and Saturdays, 7 : 00 AM3 : 00 PM. The starting pay rate for this position is $18.98 per hour.

Job Standards

Qualifications include :

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience;
• A valid Driver's License, as well as an acceptable driving record;
• Successful completion of post-offer medical examination and of previous employment verification and criminal background investigation; a post-offer drug and alcohol screen is also required.
• Knowledge of the federal, state and local requirements, methods, materials, tools, equipment, and standard practices of bus driving and of BMV traffic laws, defensive driving and vehicle safety;
• Ability to operate a passenger bus, wheelchair lift, and computer;
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance measures connected with buses / vans;
• Knowledge of general facility upkeep procedures and routines;
• Knowledge of blood-borne pathogen procedures and knowledge of sanitation of bodily fluids;
• Knowledge of and ability to manage hazardous chemicals;
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions;
• Ability to work independently and respond to situations using sound judgment;
• Ability to work under pressure and to interact with co-workers, supervisors, and other members of various departments and vendors.
