About The Position

Job Title : Respiratory Therapist

Hours per Shift : 12 hours, 1900-0700

Experience : Minimum 1 year of experience in a large critical care facility

License : Active IL license or confirmation that application process has been initiated

Certifications : BLS, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)

Must-Have : Experience in critical care, with preference for RRTs, no prior employment at any facility in the past year

Description :

The Respiratory Therapist will provide care for general medicine, intermediate, and ICU patients.

They will be responsible for administering treatments and therapies in accordance with established protocols.

Experience with ventilators such as Servo U, Servo i, LTV, and Trilogy, as well as CPAP and BiPAP devices, is required.

The role involves conducting high flow therapy using Fisher & Paykel equipment.

The Respiratory Therapist will work in a team that includes a lead therapist who serves as a resource and does not take patient assignments.

Hospitalists and intensivists are available 24 / 7.

Every other weekend and holiday coverage is required.

There is no call or standby call requirement.

Floating to other departments is not necessary within this role.

Flexibility in scrub color is permitted, as scrubs are not provided.

A comprehensive orientation will be provided, including training on EPIC and specialty equipment.
