Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation & Setup : Set up and operate various equipment for complex processes including cutting, buffing, bending, punching, spot welding, milling, and general assembly.
- Precision Tooling : Arrange, mount, align, and secure tooling and holding fixtures. Perform short-run programming and make frequent adjustments to ensure safe and quality operation.
- Advanced Equipment Monitoring :
- Monitor various CNC Machines and Machining Centers .
- Monitor and perform regular Preventative Maintenance (PM) on Wire EDM Machines .
- Resolve machine problems and edit / write EDM programs.
- Quality & Compliance : Perform ongoing quality checks using inspection instruments (calipers, micrometers, rulers) to ensure parts hold precise tolerances per detailed blueprints and specifications.
- Process Improvement : Recognize, report, and correct errors; record production deviations to continuously improve product quality and efficiency.
- Teamwork : Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to expedite orders cost-effectively.
Required Qualifications
Experience & Education
3 to 5 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment.High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).Previous set-up experience is essential.Previous knowledge of carbon products is a plus.Skills & Aptitudes
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand and utilize technical information.Proficiency in reading and interpreting shop orders and detailed blueprints .Skilled in reading and using inspection and measuring instruments (caliper, micrometer, protractor, ruler).Ability to apply common sense and industrial math skills to carry out written and oral instructions.
