Ash & Harris Executive Search is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician / PLC Systems Repair Specialist

Overview :

Join a leading manufacturer of advanced materials for high-stress environments in aerospace, defense, medical technology, and clean energy. This is a full-time, on-site role at a union facility where you will be a core member of the maintenance team, supporting critical manufacturing and production operations. The position offers a competitive base salary, a sign-on bonus, and overtime eligibility.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Diagnose, test, maintain, and repair electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, including motor drives and combustion systems.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), primarily Allen-Bradley and Siemens systems, using software such as RSLogix, Studio 5000, and TIA Portal.
  • Lead or serve as a team member to inspect and troubleshoot electrical / electronic malfunctions using diagnostic instruments like oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and ammeters.
  • Replace defective components and wiring, and adjust mechanical parts using hand tools and soldering irons.
  • Align, adjust, and calibrate equipment according to specifications, maintaining detailed records of all work performed.
  • Utilize computer-based diagnostics to troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade process control equipment and PLCs.
  • Instruct maintenance crews and collaborate with production teams for diagnostics and testing.

Requirements : Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • An Associate's Degree in an electrical or mechanical field can substitute for experience.
  • Experiences

  • Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Proven experience with PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley and Siemens highly preferred).
  • Experience with PLC programming software (e.g., RSLogix, Studio 5000, TIA Portal) is a significant advantage.

  • Must be proficient in repairing and maintaining complex electrical / electronic systems, including PLCs and motor drives.
  • This is an on-site role with no travel required.
  • Compensation and Benefits :

    Salary

  • Base Salary : $75,000 - $80,000 per year.
  • $3,000 sign-on bonus.
  • Overtime eligible.
  • Benefits
