Our Med Surg unit consists of 24 beds, including 18 medical surgical acute care beds and 6 intermediate care beds. The unit provides care to a diverse patient population, with ample opportunities for professional development and career advancement.\n\nPosition Summary : \n\nThe Registered Nurse is accountable to the Nurse Manager / Director for providing competent and evidence-based nursing care. You will coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process in a hospital setting.\n\nKey Responsibilities : \n
• Education : Identify personal learning needs, attend education programs, and assess patient readiness to learn.\n
• Patient Assessment : Recognize complex situations to determine care priorities, synthesize assessment data, and anticipate discharge needs.\n
• Implementation : Demonstrate care competence, prioritize patient needs, and consult with appropriate resources.\n
• Leadership : Develop professional growth goals, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and participate in unit goals and performance activities.\n
• Planning : Work with patients and families to develop care plans, incorporating cultural and ethnic considerations.\n
