A Substitute Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is sought to provide consistent, compassionate care to students in school health rooms. This position ensures that health and safety standards are maintained during staff absences and short-term coverage needs.
Responsibilities / Duties :
Offer direct nursing support to students, assess health concerns, and provide first-aid and emergency response.
Administer medications and monitor students with chronic conditions per established health plans.
Assist in maintaining student health records, documenting care, and reporting observations to supervising personnel.
Participate in health screenings, immunization monitoring, and health education initiatives as needed.
Follow district health policies and maintain professionalism in diverse school settings.
Qualifications / Desired Experience :
Current Pennsylvania LPN license.
At least one year of experience in a pediatric or school environment preferred.
Familiarity with state and district health procedures.
Strong interpersonal and clinical assessment skills.
Required completion of Pennsylvania criminal background, child abuse, and fingerprint clearances.
Flexibility and commitment to covering various school assignments.
