End Date : January 17, 2026

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00pm – 7 : 30am)

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2130-$2190

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Illinois RN license required

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association)

Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU nursing experience

Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient care skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

CVICU RN Responsibilities

Provide evidence-based nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients in the CVICU

Conduct patient assessments through interviews, observation, and physical exams

Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team

Utilize appropriate clinical interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Evaluate, document, and communicate patient progress throughout each shift

Adjust care plans as needed based on patient condition and response to treatment

Demonstrate professional accountability and maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge in critical care nursing

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care

Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and promote patient safety in the CVICU
