July 2024Job Summary / Objective : . In the Warehouse Lead role you will be responsible for overseeing the safe, accurate and efficient handling of material in the warehouse.
Essential Functions : (may include one or more of these job duties)
Make safety your top priority by following all safety rules and procedures. Train entry level associates on best safety practices. Provide forklift certification training to warehouse associates.Coordinate warehouse shift activity related to order picking, receiving, production support and inventory controlMaintain accurate on hand inventory by performing various inventory control functions.Support the Company’s food safety standards by maintaining good housekeeping in the Warehouse and by always following the GMP guidelines.Train entry level associates in basic warehouse and material handling functions and audit the accuracy and completeness of their work.Run warehouse computer reports related to inventory and sales order picking in order to complete daily warehouse functions.Review and troubleshoot daily warehouse transactions in computer system to ensure that inventory is received, picked and transferred accurately.Act as a Warehouse point of contact with other Company departments and external partnersUse computer system (JD Edwards) to research and resolve problems.Hold daily and weekly standup meetings to review warehouse safety, food safety and operational discussions.Act as a backup to any of the Warehouse associates to provide coverage in the event of call outs, vacations or general increases in overall business activity.Competencies :
