Contract Duration : 15 weeks

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1830-$1960

Shift : 2x12s (2 shifts per week, 12 hours each), rotating days / nights, every other weekend and holidays required

Hours per Week : 24

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active New York State RN License – required for New York nursing jobs

BLS and ACLS certifications

Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a Med / Surg environment as a Registered Nurse

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in an acute Med / Surg setting

Assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed

Specialize in cardiac care, including telemetry monitoring

Educate patients and families on self-care, lifestyle changes, and post-discharge instructions

Promote a healing environment by offering emotional support and comfort

Comply with infection prevention strategies and healthcare safety protocols

Document nursing care provided and patient / family responses

Participate in quality improvement activities and ongoing professional development
