The Senior Tax Manager is responsible for keeping the business compliant with various local, state, federal, and international tax regulations. This individual will implement measures and develop policies for dealing with various areas relating to taxes.

Current and deferred tax expenses
704(b) revaluation gain743(b) basis step-upTracking and reporting for all members of the new Tax Receivable Agreement (“TRA”) including tracking all exchanges with the People team, assisting with calculation of :Exchange Schedule per Partner
Tax Basis Schedule per PartnerTRA Benefit Payments and year end reporting of the details to the TRA members for income tax filing (TRA Statement and 1099-INT)Calculation and tracking of all required tax distributions to Pubco and LLC membersAssist with SEC quarterly and annual disclosures for income tax and TRAAssist with the preparation of any facility valuations / updates to compute the FMV balance sheet for TRA reporting purposesWorking with the Chobani Controllers team to verify quarterly and annual adjustments are properly recorded and reportedReview all tax issues and reporting requirements for new equity plans when developed by Compensation CommitteeEnsures that the organization adheres to all federal, state, local, or international tax lawsRetention and preparation of tax records, tax returns, and other required reportsThis position will assess and forecast the impact of the organization's tax liabilityPlans and organizes Federal & State tax compliance policies & proceduresResearch and documentation of Federal & State tax issues as well as planning opportunities focused on minimizing the tax impact to the companyResponsible for all aspects of the preparation of the consolidated US federal and state income tax returns, extensions and estimated paymentsPrepare quarterly and annual tax provisions and the evaluation of tax positionsReview and reconcile the tax fixed asset detail register in FAS to the SAP details, including identifying QIP assetsOversee the preparation of state sales tax returnsPrepare tax rate forecasts throughout the year, including federal and state effective tax rates and other items having a tax rate impactPrepare quarterly and annual financial reporting of taxes and tax footnote disclosuresManage annual state report filings including required state licensesManage all aspects of Federal, State & Local income / franchise tax and sales audits and the development of supporting positions and documentation of issues arising under such auditsParticipate and assist in the tax planning and special projects, including the assessment, recommendation and implementation of Federal, State, Local tax planning strategies, mergers, acquisitions, etcPrepare all required real and personal property tax filing, including working with consultants where necessary to determine and file in most tax efficient mannerManage directly outside tax consultants and other third party relationshipsAssist in the development and support of systems enhancements, improvements and updatesOther duties as assignedRequirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA, and 8+ years prior experience in a corporate tax environmentMulti-location experience preferredAvalara tax experience preferredMust be a proven analytical thinker with the ability to take initiativeStrong work ethic and ability to problem solve independentlyManage all aspects of Federal, State & Local income / franchise tax compliance, including : maintenance of the compliance tax calendar, determination of nexus and related filing requirements, management of tax return preparation and detailed review of all domestic tax returns and estimated tax paymentsAbility to multi-task and drive resultsProficient knowledge of basic software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint, FAS Fixed Asset Software, Thompson Reuters Information Reporting and Avalara Sales TaxAbility to conduct research using various sources including BNA, CCH, etc. and effectively communicate results in the form of discussion, presentation or technical memorandumBackground in Federal, State, Local, and International taxation and complianceAbility to manage projects and meet tight deadlinesAbout Us
