Position Overview :

St. Patrick-St. Anthony church (SPSA) in Hartford, CT is seeking a full-time Director of Music Ministries starting in August 2025 or earlier. We are looking for a passionate and experienced leader to continue our vibrant music ministry, while supporting our choirs and musicians.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Plan and coordinate music for weekend Masses and special liturgies / events
  • Lead and direct three choirs (mixed, treble, bass)
  • Hire and oversee professional singers, cantors, and instrumentalists
  • Maintain music library and manage Music Ministry budget
  • Provide music for weddings and funerals
  • Prepare weekly leaflet
  • Collaborate with other ministries, churches, and organizations

Qualifications :

  • Education : Bachelor’s in music, Master’s preferred
  • Experience : Minimum of 5-10 years in a similar role
  • Skills : Demonstrated ability to lead and conduct choirs in worship; Expertise in organ and keyboard performance; knowledge of Catholic Church music repertoire in varying forms and styles; Strong organizational, managerial, and interpersonal skills.
