Job description

Snapshot / Role Overview

We're seeking an Accounting Assistant in the Inland Empire to support financial operations and ensure accurate accounting for commercial HVAC services.

Impact

Process financial transactions for multi-million dollar commercial HVAC operations
Support accurate job costing and profitability analysis for service and construction projects
Ensure timely billing and collections for commercial accounts
Maintain financial records that support business growth and operational efficiency

Responsibilities

Process accounts payable and receivable transactions daily

Prepare and send customer invoices for service and project work

Maintain job cost accounting records and project profitability analysis

Process payroll and benefits administration for field technicians

Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly

Prepare financial reports for management review and analysis

Support month-end and year-end closing procedures

Maintain vendor files and process purchase orders

Requirements

Must-Haves :

2+ years accounting or bookkeeping experience

Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting software

Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy

Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel

High school diploma or equivalent required

Professional communication skills

Nice-to-Haves :

Construction or service industry accounting experience

Associate degree in accounting or business

Accounts payable and receivable certification

Experience with job costing and project accounting
