Overview

Job Title : Process & Project Plant Engineer

Location : Fresno, CA

Pay Range : $100,658 – $111,441 annually

Employment : Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a Plant Engineer to provide engineering support and project leadership at our Fresno facility. This role will split time between project management (60%) and plant support (40%), focusing on production improvements, equipment reliability, and ensuring safety and quality standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from planning to completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
  • Support daily plant operations with troubleshooting, equipment optimization, and process improvements.
  • Lead capital investment initiatives and equipment upgrades.
  • Supervise contractors and coordinate vendor relationships.
  • Provide safety training and enforce GMP, HACCP, food safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, attending daily production and quality meetings.
  • Monitor plant systems and recommend solutions for long-term operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Education :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical).

    • Experience :

  • 3–5 years of engineering experience in plant or manufacturing environments.
  • Proven background in project execution, process improvement, and plant support.

    • Skills :

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; project management experience with Microsoft Project.
  • Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLCs; experience with CMMS systems (MP2 a plus).
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

    • Certifications (Not Required) :

  • PE License, ASME Welding, Wastewater, or PLC certifications.

    • Work Environment

  • Ability to walk long distances in the plant and climb ladders / stairs as needed.
  • Exposure to variable temperatures (35–45°F in coolers, 95°F+ in engine rooms).
  • Requires strong sensory awareness (hearing, vision, touch, smell) and reasoning ability.
