Job Purpose / Job Summary
Under immediate supervision, the Corporate Action Analyst is responsible for the accurate analysis and posting of corporate action events, as well as the coordination of voluntary corporate action responses. The successful candidate will strive to gain comprehensive knowledge of all corporate action event types and their impacts on the Investment Books of Records (IBOR) and the Accounting Books of Records (ABOR). This role involves assisting internal clients and global corporate action teams in resolving issues, questions, or concerns related to corporate actions. Additional responsibilities include working on various projects and initiatives within the Investment Operations department to enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities / Duties
- Provide timely and accurate responses to internal Investment personnel, custodians, and external parties regarding voluntary corporate actions.
- Collect, compile, analyze, and verify corporate action information from multiple data sources to ensure data integrity.
- Record corporate actions in applicable systems, conducting thorough self-review to maintain data accuracy.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and support for all corporate action records and activities.
- Respond to queries from internal clients, external auditors, Investment personnel, and other business units within the organization.
- Support and participate in special projects aimed at process improvement and operational excellence.
- Contribute to the enhancement of daily workflow processes, procedures, and controls within the team.
Qualifications & Skills
Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in data analysis and recordkeeping.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality work standards.Effective communication skills to interact with various stakeholders and resolve inquiries efficiently.Familiarity with investment operations, corporate actions, or related financial processes preferred.Proficiency with relevant systems used for recording and managing corporate actions (experience with IBOR, ABOR systems is a plus).Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.A proactive approach to learning and process improvement.
