Must Haves :
- 1+ years of experience in pre-construction, estimating, or project management in industrial / construction settings.
- Strong technical aptitude with a design / build background.
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, submittals, and engineering drawings.
- Skilled in developing cost budgets, schedules, and proposal documents.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with confidence in front of clients and executives.
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management required
- Comfortable with 3D model navigation and integration into presentations.
Plusses :

The Pre-Construction Project Manager (Pre-Con PM) plays a support role in the front-end development of projects, partnering with Client Partnerships Executives (responsible for winning the job) and Project Executives (responsible for project continuity and profitable delivery). The Pre-Con PM helps shape opportunities by developing technical solutions, defining scope, preparing budgets and schedules, and producing high-quality proposal materials. While the Project Executive retains full ownership of the project from concept through completion, the Pre-Con PM provides the technical, organizational, and coordination support that ensures opportunities move smoothly from early engagement into active projects.
Essential Functions
Support Client Partnerships Executives and Project Executives in developing and progressing project opportunities.Assist the PX in continuity of project definition, ensuring all early design and costing information transitions seamlessly into execution.Generate Basis of Design documents and translate them into draft scopes of work.Develop technical solutions with options, in conjunction with SMEs.Assist in preparing cost budgets, high-level schedules, and preliminary utility load assessments.Support creation of deliverables including :Scope NarrativesBudget cost sheets and Excel modelsProposal decks and visual presentations3D model navigation and renderings (where applicable)Preliminary project timelinesBills of Material for cost validationCoordinate with subcontractors and vendors to obtain accurate pricing for proposals.
Assist with pre-construction activities such as geotechnical reports, core sampling, or utility discovery.Prepare polished, professional proposal documents and presentations.Attend client meetings with PX and Sales, take minutes, distribute action items, and track follow-up
