About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : Minimum 1 year of CVICU experience required.

License : Must obtain required license before contract begins.

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required.

Must-Have :

• EKG tele competency assessment must be passed before starting the assignment.
• Experience with A-Lines, vents, drips, sheaths, dialysis, and drawing ABGs.
• EPIC experience required.
• Must be available to work every other weekend and holiday.
• Must float to assigned units as needed.

Description :

Applicants do not need a license in hand to apply.

However, they must obtain the required license before the contract begins.

All applicants are expected to work every other holiday.

Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day are considered separate holidays.

Travelers will be the first to float at management's discretion.

Assignments may include medically appropriate assignments or support to the nursing care team of the unit floated to.

Typically, the patient ratios are 1 : 2 in a 36 bed unit.

The work environment includes managing telemetry, drips, and vents.

Experience in a Level 1 Trauma center is preferred.

LPNs or RNs will be working with a variety of patient diagnoses including STEMI, heart failure, sepsis, respiratory failure, and chest pain, among others.

Staffing and scheduling allow for 36 or 48 hours.

No more than 14 days of requested time off are allowed for the contract period.

Modules for completion during orientation and annually will be self-reported to management.

A commitment to professionalism and a patient-centered approach is necessary.
