This is a safety sensitive position. The Pharmacist is responsible for providing safe, effective, and compliant pharmaceutical care within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting. This role ensures adherence to Oklahoma Board of Pharmacy, OBNDD and DEA regulations, while also supporting 340B program compliance. The pharmacist will oversee daily operations, supervise technicians, and utilize technology such as PioneerRx, Eyecon, Parata Max2 and Parata PASS to optimize workflow, accuracy, and patient safety.
III. QUALIFICATIONS :
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.Current and unrestricted Oklahoma Pharmacist License.Eligible for or currently holds an Oklahoma Preceptor License.Active access to and working knowledge of the Oklahoma PMP.Prior experience in community or ambulatory care pharmacy preferred.Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.RESPONSIBILITIES :
Ensure compliance with Oklahoma Board of Pharmacy Rules, OBNDD requirements and DEA regulations related to controlled dangerous substances (CDS).Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports for dispensing, involuntary management and drug diversion prevention.Access and review the Oklahoma PMP for all required controlled substance prescriptions and ensure all reporting is timely and accurate.Adhere to all 340B Program guidelines for eligible prescriptions.Accurately dispense medications using PioneerRx pharmacy management software.Oversee and verify prescriptions filled by pharmacy technicians.Operate and monitor automation, including :Eyecon counting system with double count enabled for all controls.
Parata Max2 for automated vial filling, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Parata PASS for strip / pouch packaging, supporting adherence programs and special medication synchronization projects.Conduct daily / weekly / monthly compliance checks, including temperature logs, hazardous waste disposal logs and controlled substance reconciliations.Provide patient-centered medication counseling and education.Collaborate with providers, nurses, and care teams to optimize therapy.Participate in medication-therapy-management (MTM), adherence counseling and chronic disease management.Ensure proper receipt, storage, dispensing, and disposal of CDS.Follow strict protocols for Schedule II CDS, which must only be counted and verified by a pharmacist.Direct and provide staff training on PioneerRx, Eyecon, Parta Max2, and Parata PASS.Other duties as assigned by the Director of Pharmacy.
