Job Summary :
The Assistant Service Manager supports daily service operations by coordinating trailer check-ins, assisting with repairs, and ensuring seamless communication between departments and customers. This role assumes responsibility for the service operations in the absence of the Service Manager, maintaining workflow continuity and customer satisfaction.
Job Duties / Responsibilities :
- Check in incoming trailers, including taking photos and logging stock details via email
- Inspect trailers for repairs needed and communicate findings
- Generate invoices, close POs, and follow up on outstanding balances
- Assist parts department in creating accurate quotes and follow up on status of service-related part orders
- Create and manage work orders for customers and stock trailers
- Take service customer information.
- Create work orders for service customers, PT’s and PL’s using CDK and S.O.D.
- Quote trailer repairs.
- Invoice trailer work.
- Communicate to service customers the status on their trailers in a clear and courteous manner as well as follow up with customers after service work has been completed and trailer has been picked up.
- Keep all trailers on lot organized and in designated spots. Update trailer inventory board on locations of trailers daily.
- Tag trailers with the appropriate color tags.
- Lock all gates.
- Assist on a as needed basis
