Activities Assistant

AdviniaCare Salem is seeking for a dynamic individual who will be a team player and able to work alone leading, encourageing, and motivating the residents in meaninfull activities. Flexibile schedule, part time evenings available. We are an equal opportunity employer.

Position Summary :

Assists the Activities Director with and contributes to the implementation of rehabilitative activity programs for the residents of the facility. Therapeutic recreational programs are designed to meet the physical, cognitive, social, psychological and spiritual needs of the resident.

Responsabilities :

The Avtivities Assistant will encourage and assist residents in functional, social, and recreational activities under the direction of the Activity Director. The Activities Assistant functions as a team member and fosters good interpersonal communication skills within and between departments. The Activities Assistant maintains a clean and safe envitoment for all residents in his / her care.

Requirements :

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Long Term Care experience preferred
• CPR Certified
• Certfied as an activity assistant preferred
