We are seeking a diligent and skilled Material Handler who will be responsible for the efficient movement of materials using a stand-up hi-lo forklift. The role requires working within a cooler / freezer environment, maintaining temperatures between 34-38 degrees Fahrenheit. The successful candidate will be involved in moving various materials such as pallets and bins, as well as loading and unloading semi-trailers.

Responsibilities

• Operate a stand-up hi-lo forklift to move materials efficiently.
• Handle materials such as pallets and bins, ensuring precise movement and placement.
• Load and unload materials from semi-trailers with attention to detail.
• Maintain a high standard of attendance and punctuality.

Work Environment

The work environment is a fresh veggie setting, involving items such as celery and onions. The role operates on the first day shift from 11 AM to 7 PM. It requires working in a cooler / freezer setting at temperatures of 34-38 degrees Fahrenheit, with warm jackets provided for comfort.

Job Type & Location

This is a contract to hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $17.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
