Laborer

Laborer Position

The Laborer is responsible to assist craft workers with various physical tasks at commercial or industrial construction job sites. This position operates a variety of hand and power tools and prepares and cleans task areas or work sites. In this role, you may be required to travel within 1 hour of downtown Nashville Responsibilities :

• Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing and returning them to the appropriate locations; install or remove signage, railings, or other various hardware.
• Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes.
• Operate hand or power tools such as air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment or other as required.
• If certified, operate heavy equipment such as backhoe, bobcat.
• Assist in erecting or dismantling scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, or other temporary structures.
• Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.

Vision : See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hearing : Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
