Responsibilities Position is in an acute care hospital CT department with two CT rooms Patient cases include head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, extremities, and biopsies Average of 65 scans per day across 24 hours Uses GE VCT 64 slice and Siemens Somatom Definition 64 slice scanners EMR system is Cerner Community Works; PACS is Intellirad / Intelliconnect 12-hour rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Every other weekend required; participation in holiday rotation may be requested No floating to other departments required Potential to be the only tech in-house overnight Staffing includes 3 technologists daily plus nursing support for IVs and premedications Duties include performing a wide range of CT studies, setting up sterile trays, and assisting with biopsies Biopsy procedure training provided if needed May wear any color scrubs as long as they are clean and professional; permanent staff wear emerald green, optional for travelers Department-specific orientation includes five shifts with a preceptor Radiologist is in-house until 5 : 00 PM with after-hours call coverage and teleradiology overnight Must provide an unexpired driver's license for consideration WV CARES background required prior to start Candidates who have worked for WVU Medicine must have a 2-year break before reapplying Travelers are not permitted to work within WVU facilities for longer than a year without a 2-year break Requirements Minimum of 3 years recent experience in CT required Current BLS certification required Certified CT Technologist with ARRT (CT) preferred; must have either ARRT (CT) or 3-5 years of CT experience WV X-ray license required Experience starting IVs required Must be able to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment License required if applicable Willing to accept first time travelers Compliance with a 50-mile radius rule for candidates Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-639392.
