Overview

We are searching for attorneys to join a non-profit legal aid association. There are several practice areas available, including housing, family and public benefits. Multiple locations available including Jersey City, Paterson, and Hackensack areas.

Responsibilities

• Interviewing and advising clients
• Drafting legal documents
• Researching issues
• Making applications to the court
• Preparing for hearings
• Appearing in court on behalf of clients
• And more

Qualifications

No experience is necessary, and all training will be provided in a supportive and friendly environment. Of course, attorneys with related experience would be highly valued.

Employment Details

The position is set up as a 4-month hourly position (35 hours per week) with a significant potential for an extension or for the job to go permanent after the initial period. Should you be brought on board as a permanent hire, the salary is set by schedule based upon experience.
