About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Director of Development to spearhead our fundraising initiatives. In this key role, you will be responsible for identifying and cultivating major gift prospects, implementing effective fundraising strategies, fostering donor relationships, and collaborating closely with our talented development team. Your expertise in major gifts fundraising and commitment to our mission will be critical to our success.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred), a minimum of 5 years' experience in major gifts fundraising, and a solid understanding of fundraising best practices. You will play a pivotal role in aligning our efforts with organizational needs, working alongside program staff to pinpoint funding requirements and engaging in both regional and national events.

Key Responsibilities :

• Identify and research potential major gift prospects.
• Develop and implement cultivation strategies to build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects.
• Execute major gift solicitation strategies to achieve annual revenue goals.
• Create comprehensive stewardship plans to enhance and deepen donor relationships.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and work independently with a high degree of organization and project management skills.
• Travel as necessary to engage with donors, with less than 10% travel expected.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, and familiarity with Raisers Edge and Office 365 is a plus. We also welcome candidates with knowledge or experience in the Jewish community.
