Safety Risk Analyst

The Breeze Safety Risk Analyst is the focal point for risk management activities in the operation and across the organization. This role assists Divisional leaders in the administration of safety and risk management principles that assesses potential risks to ensure the safety of Team Members and operations. The Safety Risk Analyst actively participates in supporting and facilitating all aspects of regulatory compliance, risk management activities, analysis of reports, and projects. This person organizes and prepares safety presentations, identifies, tracks and communicates data and trends, and generates Divisional reports in addition to the safety duties as described below.
Here's What You'll Do
- Serves as the focal point (as assigned by the Manager SMS and ASAP) in leading regular risk assessments with Divisional leaders to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks.
- Assists with the administration of safety programs and the safety reporting system.
- Assist in the development and implementation of safety processes and procedures.
- Responsible for utilizing the safety reporting system for data analytics, identification and tracking trends, and mitigation follow up.
- Facilitates the use of safety data to raise awareness of operational risks, and application of corrective actions to mitigate those risks.
- Assists Divisional leaders and Team Members with risk management and analysis of data.
- Ensures quality of data entered within the SMS software is entered into correct modules.
- Supports the company accident, incident, hazard and injury reduction efforts by aiding in the development of proactive and educational safety programs.
- Track and trend monthly and yearly safety metrics for Divisional leadership monitoring.
- Assist in developing safety training materials and managing the safety program training records in Breeze software.
- Meet regularly with the Safety and Security team regarding safety issues, reporting, and compliance.
- Assist in ad-hoc Safety Department Projects as assigned by the Manager SMS and ASAP.
- Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Airways values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity and Excellence.
Here's What You'll Need To Be Successful
Minimum Qualifications
Aviation or other related industry-specific degree3 years relevant work experience with emphasis on aviation management, statistical analysis, risk management and / or project management3 years airline safety programs or airline operational experience1 year experience with data analytics or working with safety dataWorking familiarity with federal regulations pertaining to U.S scheduled, domestic, air carrier operationsProficient in quantitative and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously with little supervisionAbility to quickly learn new software and programs through training and self-studyProven ability to build relationships both internally and externallyAbility to work effectively with professionals from diverse technical areasStrong organizational and planning skillsExperience with aviation reporting system and record keeping softwareExperience in using airline manuals and airline manual systemsAvailable for occasional overnight travelPreferred Qualifications
4-year degree from an accredited university or equivalentExperience working with SMS, airline safety data and processesOSHA experienceOSHA 10 or 30 DOL Card3+ years of experience with data analytics3+ years of experience in airline operationsExperience as an airline auditor, investigator, airline subject matter expertFAA license / certificate for Dispatch, A&P, Pilot or Flight AttendantSkills / Talents
