Social Worker in Hartford, CT

A full-time School Social Worker position is available for a maternity leave contract in the Hartford, CT area, serving K-6 grade levels. This role involves working five days per week with a student caseload of approximately 30. The assignment runs tentatively from March 18, 2026, through May 11, 2026, with the possibility of an earlier start date.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting and managing 504 meetings
• Providing crisis intervention and support
• Collaborating closely with school psychologists and staff
• Supporting students with mandated IEPs, 504 plans, and other interventions
• Utilizing the Special Education Data System (CT-SEDS) for documentation and reporting (experience preferred)

• Previous experience working as a social worker in school settings, specifically supporting K-6 student populations
• Familiarity with the CT-SEDS platform and special education processes
• Ability to effectively manage student caseloads and multi-disciplinary collaboration
