Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med / Surg position requiring a compact or TN RN license, with 1 : 7 patient ratios and floating expectations.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is on a Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting
  • Night shifts are available, including 3x12 and 4x12 schedules from 18 : 30 to 07 : 00
  • Required to work rotating weekends and holidays
  • No on-call responsibilities are required
  • Floating to other units is required
  • Patient ratios are 1 : 7
  • RNs are expected to actively participate in nursing student support and clinical education in addition to clinical care duties
  • General orientation begins on Sundays, including online CBLs and nonbillable modules
  • Hospital may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty due to census changes
  • Scrub requirements and dress code will follow hospital policy
  • International travelers must have a BSN
  • No local candidates accepted within a 100-mile radius

  • Active TN or compact RN license is required at the time of consideration
  • Minimum of 2 years of Med / Surg RN experience
  • Current AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications required
  • Permanent residence must be at least 100 miles from the hospital’s service area
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Ability to complete compliance documentation and labs as scheduled prior to start
  • Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to meet CDC fit testing guidelines
