Responsibilities :

• Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing care for patients and their families.
• Possess the ability to obtain and interpret information considering age specific needs.
• Conduct interviews with patients to answer questions related to healthcare problems and provide necessary counseling utilizing all resource persons and materials available.
• Administer medications and vaccines as ordered by attending physician and keep abreast of changes in requirements for immunizations, flu vaccines, and allergy injections.
• Responsible for sterilization of office equipment and ordering of stock supplies and keep appropriate records of same.
• Perform laboratory duties, assuring compliance with OSHA and CLIA.
• Identify and communicate educational needs of patients to their physician and teach in these areas upon his / her request.
• Assist physician in patient examination and perform specialized procedures.
• Maintain competence through participation in continuing education and other appropriate learning experiences with necessary documentation.
