Job Title : CT / Radiology Technologist – Weekend Days

Location : Cortez, Colorado

Schedule : Friday–Sunday, 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM (12-hour shifts)

Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CT / Radiology Technologist to provide exceptional diagnostic imaging services and quality patient care. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in both CT and Radiography, uphold high standards of safety and professionalism, and demonstrate the ability to work independently over weekend shifts.

This position plays a key role in supporting our imaging department by ensuring accurate imaging, maintaining compliance with safety standards, and providing compassionate care to patients.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic and CT imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.

Collect and evaluate pertinent patient information to ensure appropriate imaging procedures.

Ensure optimal diagnostic quality through sound technical judgment and professional discretion.

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers, explaining procedures clearly.

Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and hospital safety and regulatory standards.

Utilize Cerner and PACS systems to maintain accurate imaging records.

Support and supervise radiographic technology students, assisting with education and training.

Assist in maintaining department inventory, cleanliness, and readiness for patient care.

Participate in ongoing professional development and departmental improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education :

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.

Certification :

Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT).

Current BLS / CPR certification (AHA or equivalent).

Experience :

Minimum 3 years of Radiology / CT experience; multi-modality experience (CT, MR, Mammo, or Nuclear) strongly preferred.

Technical Skills :

Proficiency with Cerner and PACS systems.

Strong knowledge of imaging safety protocols, patient positioning, and radiation protection.

Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Exposure to infectious materials, chemicals, and occasional strong odors.

Moderate to loud noise levels with potential interaction with distressed patients.

Requires lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally, pushing / pulling up to 110 lbs, and frequent standing, bending, and reaching.

Must maintain composure in fast-paced, high-demand situations while ensuring patient safety.
