IT Manager
Wieland is hiring an IT Manager. The IT Manager will design, specify, maintain, and enhance business application systems that deliver accurate and reliable data, execute daily business transactions, and provide business users and management with the necessary tools to make informed business decisions. This role is located in Duncansville, PA and will be fully on-site.
Responsibilities
IT Manager Responsibilities :
- Learn, maintain, and support WSTP's ERP system to ensure accurate business transactions and reporting.
- This custom-made ERP system is built on a Cobol platform.
- It incorporates additional software for graphical screen design and printing overlays.
- Primary software platforms include COBOL, Microsoft Access, Sage 500, and BizNet for financial reporting.
- A small amount of vb.net and C# is needed to maintain applications, and this role will coordinate a third-party EDI provider as needed.
- Learn and maintain interfaces between these various systems.
- Provide end-user system support and training.
- Maintain nightly, monthly, and year-end job schedules.
- Develop subject matter expertise to ultimately lead our ERP migration to SAP in 3-5 years.
- Be ready with complete and accurate knowledge regarding raw material receiving, operations transactions, inventory moves, shipping, invoicing, and reporting requirements.
- Be prepared to effectively guide the team to recognize gaps in support from the old system to the new and to implement complete solutions.
- Develop subject matter expertise in our new SAP environment to act as a key power user and lead our digitization efforts.
- Act as local key user for our SAP and MES system and provide guidance to users in the organization.
- This includes using PowerBI and other supplemental software to develop user-friendly reporting for the management team.
- Drive automation initiatives in close collaboration with operations, suppliers and Wieland corporate functions.
- Drive data analysis to improve business performance.
- Understand the business process in order to maintain reliable and accurate business applications (regardless of software).
- Build and maintain key professional relationships with all end-users to gather, evaluate, and best apply the information to support the business process
