Responsibilities
The primary goal issatisfyingcustomer requirementsofquality, quantity, and delivery, in a safe manner, while maximizing productivity. Specifically, the Assembler / Electrical is responsible for all job activities required to support production processes. These activities include but are not limitedto : performingspecific manufacturing tasks including mechanical assembly and wiringwhich is typically of high complexity and / or requires fitting, alignment and adjustment of components, units and assemblies to very close tolerances.
Other responsibilities :
Read and understandelectrical and mechanicalblue printsand / or verbal and written instructions with minimal supervisionInstall / attach wires to various components of drive units in accordance with company practices and standards using schematics; verifies correct components, wire color, gauge and schematic when manufacturingPrint wire identification labels as per schematic and checks to ensure that wires and identification numbers match schematicsMaintain quality standards per company policies / procedures for correct, neat, and orderly wiring; ensures that wire markers are visible and legibleBe able to locate all parts and hardware as neededPart inspection before assemblyLayout workAssemble product as needed, shimming, grinding, setting dimensionsAssemble larger parts to maintain working order and disassemble for shipping as neededTouch up paint, clean up, and get ready for shippingDocuments actions of final assemblies by completing production and quality formsResolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resourcesFollowsall plant safety guidelines, practices and procedures. Also, be aware of activity in the work surroundings and maintain a clean and safe workareaProperly use personal protective equipment when requiredMaintain regular attendance – have reliable means of transportationPerformothertasks as assignedQualifications
Prior manufacturing experience is highly preferred. Any technical or vocational education / training in relation to skills listed below is also desirable.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works intypicalmanufacturing environment with overhead cranes and forklifts.Overhead LED lights throughout the workspace create a bright workspace for employees to safely perform their work.Normallycleanwork environment where the process creates somegrinding dust, heat / cold, fumes / odors,andvibration.Housekeeping is performed as needed throughout the day and at the end of each shift.The noise level in the work environmentis normaltomanufacturing processes with air tools, grinders, and other tools. Yearly audiometric testing is provided by the company to monitor areas for improvement.Non-climate-controlled facility in the summer, each work area is provided with fans to help keep cool. In the winter it is heated.Education and Experience HighSchool Diploma / GED with a minimum3yearsof experience in a manufacturing environment performing semi-skilled assembly tasks, including industrial wiring.
