Accounting Specialist

Overview of the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist with strong experience using QuickBooks to support day-to-day accounting operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Maintain and manage the general ledger in QuickBooks Online

· Record daily financial transactions, including journal entries and adjustments

· Perform bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations

· Process accounts payable

· Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies

· Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

· Support financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)

· Support budgeting and forecasting activities

· Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation

· Assist with audit requests and external accountant inquiries

· Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies

· Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

· 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience

· Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online

· Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and GAAP

· Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas a plus)

· High attention to detail and accuracy

· Strong organizational and time-management skills

· Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

· Experience working with Bill.com
