License : NY License ONLY

Certifications : BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)

Must-Have :

• GE Scanner Experience
• Level 1 Trauma Center Experience

Description :

We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team.

Candidates must have an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology.

Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is preferred.

The ideal candidate knows how to operate the MRI machine efficiently.

They can make patients feel comfortable before and during the scanning procedure.

The technologist coordinates with the patient's physician to ensure timely receipt of results.

Familiarity with medical terminology is necessary.

Candidates must be able to stand for extended periods.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.

Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.

Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable.

Insert IVs when necessary for the test.

Document all procedures while maintaining confidentiality of patient information.

Perform patient care tasks as needed.
