As a Journeyman Sheet Metal Mechanic, you'll be responsible for the precise fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of various sheet metal products and equipment. Your work will primarily focus on critical HVAC components like ductwork, plenums, air devices, louvers, and air-moving equipment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Fabrication Expertise : Set up and operate a variety of fabricating machines, including shears, brakes, bending rolls, and punch and drill presses, to accurately cut, bend, and straighten sheet metal.
• Assembly & Construction : Utilize spot welders, hand-held power tools, air hammers, and hand tools to efficiently assemble ductwork and other sheet metal components.
• On-Site Installation : Install ductwork and sheet metal assemblies at job sites according to blueprints and specifications, using both hand and portable power tools.
• Equipment Integration : Install air-moving equipment such as air handlers, heat pumps, exhaust fans, and unit heaters.
• Quality & Compliance : Inspect and test installations to ensure full conformance with project requirements and industry standards.

What You'll Bring :

Industry Experience : Prior experience with sheet metal work specifically within the mechanical / HVAC industry.

Technical Acumen :

Proficiency with tools, metals, and machines.

Ability to visualize three-dimensional objects from drawings, sketches, or blueprints.

Strong understanding of basic math.

Capable of working within precise limits and standards of accuracy.

Ability to perform a variety of duties that may change often and to rate information using measurable standards.
